First, the news came as a shock (on the eve of my holidays). MSN Space is going to shut down the blog service next March and move all their bloggers to WordPress. Thankfully, the migration was very smooth and the entire setup took less about 2 hours. I managed to archive all my past entries (686 of them) and setup the new blog before I fly off. (Well, the Ho Family isn’t the only ones relocating today! Guess in the digital world, things move at the speed of light! 6 years of memories – transferred in 120 minutes!)

Oh yes… Welcome to my new blog. 🙂 Will I get any “house-warming” gifts?

Farewell on a Full-Moon Night

While many were celebrating reunions on this festive day, we were bidding farewell to our good Malaysian friends – the Ho Family. In less than 1 week’s time, the Ho Family will leave us, starting their new chapter in Singapore. This is just one of the many departures we will see in the coming 6 months.

The clan planned a twisted Mid-Autum Farewell Party for the HOs tonight. No tear-jerking moment or sad goodbye.  Since the HOs have decided to forsake us…we wanted to "punish" them with an unforgettable farewell! Lucky for Sherry who didn’t make it to our party, poor Hongfei had to go through 3 hours of endless unimaginable tortures and abuses. We defaced him, choked him and intoxicated him. A Dazzling Jay’s Night!

Attending Jay Chou’s concert is like taking a good roller-coaster ride.You leave his concert feeling high and wishing for more. Good suspense in the beginning, well-paced (the highs and lows), brilliant visual effects and lots of screaming throughout the entire show. Jay threw a spectacular 2.5-hour concert! (Encore 3 times + 2 grand finales!) Felicia and I had such a great night! (Despite the awfully wet and cold night!)

While Jay overwhelmed his audience with super-sharp giant LCD walls, 3D animations, pyrotechnics and expensive hologram effects, Jay did put in extra effort and energy to connect with his audience. He offered a new routine every night, changed his lyrics (for the Hong Kong audience) and even attempted to tease them with his amateurish Cantonese. Throughout the entire concert, Jay displayed his signature “yaya” moves / poses…but there is still a “down-to-earth” boy in him somewhere. Jay paid special tribute to his doting mum and granny (who faithfully sat through all his Hong Kong concerts). Not forgetting the respect he gave to the senior singers/actors (Jacky Cheung, Eric Tsang) and good friends who he invited to his shows.
