The World of Left-Handed Leaders & Me

Perhaps it is true – the world is led by lefties! Except for George Bush Junior, 4 of the last 5 American Presidents are lefties (left-handed)! Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and the late Ronald Reagan write with their left hands. Not only that, 2 of the White House final contenders are left handed too – Al Gore and the very recent John McCain. The previous richest man in the world, Bill Gates is also… yes.. Leftie. Even our current Singapore leader – Lee Hsien Long – he too, a leftie.

So were these great artists and inventors- Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Picasso, Henry Ford, Albert Einstein and Newton. Not forgetting those great leaders and conquerers like The late Gandhi, Winston Churchill, Napoleon, Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar. Even the world’s number one most wanted criminal today – Osama Bin Laden – He too, unfortunately a leftie.

What about the ladies? Sure – and these are famous icons you know today. A-listed Hollywood icons like Nicole Kidman, Kim Basinger, Demi Moore, Marilyn Monroe, Oprah Winfrey, Drew Barrymore, Angelina Jolie and more! (And yes… Jay Leno and David Letterman are both favourite Talkshow lefties too!)

Surely, the Lefties represent ourselves well in the history (certainly better than the blondes). And I should be really proud and happy that I am a LEFTIE…even though I am not rich and famous yet (Man, it is either my day is not here yet or I am not pure enough!) Today, I eat and write with my left… and play sports, carry weights with my right. Maybe I should convert 100% to the left, huh?
