My Birthday Countdown

Today, I received 2 super early birthday presents in Hong Kong! First, it is my "X-ray Report" results! Unknown to my old folks back home, I actually sprained my back while loading the heavy luggages off the cab. Worried that my mum or aunt would nag at me, i endured the pain throughout the 3 days there. The pain got worse after I came back to Hong Kong. I couldn’t even sit or sleep. On Tuesday, I went to see the doctor to get my back checked! And today, the doctor gave me a "green note"! There is nothing wrong with my back bones, just some soreness that will go away in the next 7 days! 

Today, my lovely team at OgilvyAction celebrated my birthday! And I was showered with so many huggies and kisses (haaa.. I forced upon them!) One of the biggest surprises was my birthday gift! The team passed me an envelop excitedly and kept prompting me to open the gift. Thinking it was a "massage voucher", I opened the envelop and found a cut-out Sony PS3 photo. "Yah right, funny…" that was what I said.

Tracy and Nelson were yelling at me to look into the envelop. Inside, there was a receipt for 2 PS3 games. I was laughing "WHAT? You guys got me PS3 games??? Hello… I am a XBOX user at home…" And Tracy came and kept pointing to the receipt… "Look carefully again!"

OH MY GOSH! Right at the end of the receipt, it read "SONY PS3 80GB CONSOLE BLACK"!  I went crazy and started hugging everyone… (Hong Fei said I started "molesting people" in office!) This is indeed one of my "most wanted gadgets" in 2009! I can’t wait to run over to IFC to collect this playset and then to HMV to get a BLUERAY disc!

A very big THANK YOU to all who love me so dearly! It is not the prized gift. It is the thoughts and efforts you put in for me…and knowing what I really like. 🙂

A Gift from My Angels

My 3 lovely Angels (Kitty, Alice and Tracy) decided to give me my birthday gift (yeah, 2 weeks before the exact one) yesterday. Unknowingly, these sly angels secretly taped me and post this on YouTube! What was my reaction? I was worried… cos just 10 minutes before, these girls threatened to sue me for sexual harassment and now, they gave me this very suggestive gift… mmmm.. women are so contradicting.

His most powerful spell (ERP) "Expecto Reducto Portal" vaporised your money into the thin air. He is "Who Must Not be Named" in most kopitiams… He is no ordinary Harry… We have a codename for this great man – LKY.

Meet the Origins of Heroes and Xmen

Alice brought back some really nice paper GOD-ICONS from her Taipei trip. She get us pick our own "GODS". Strange and amazing.. by some magical coincidence, the icons we picked out for ourselves are pretty matching to our own characters and vibes… Even the looks are the matching! Yeah, I am the RED HOT Dictative Chinese in this TRIO. The French boss is the Newy Sonic Ears Orange Red God and my Indian Buddy is the Far-Sighted Jade Green God.

Come to think of it… the Chinese Gods do have mutant-like powers… like the abilities to see a thousand miles or super-sonic hearing. My gosh! We created these mythical characters hundred years back (way way before the Hollywood superheroes movies/comics were created!). Marvel created the "Fantastic 4" but the Chinese has our own Marvelous "Ten Brothers"? However, we don’t call them "mutants" or Xmen – we coined these special people as "GODS" with purposeful powers! 

Yeah, we do have our own "Spiderwoman" – but she is typically known as the kickass, sexy hot Villian "蜘蛛精". Imagine we had a joint Chinese-Hollywood movie – Spider-man verus "蜘蛛精"! Wow!

The Siren is back!

It is always a joy to have Yiyi with us in the Karaoke Room. She has a great voice and an even greater look! Best of all, she keeps Elkan, Scott and me happy! On a formal and serious note, she really can sing – Both English and Mandarin songs (male or female)! I wonder where Scott found such a beautiful Siren… Certainly not at the local Starbucks.

Swine Flu Scare

Swine Flu is finally officially in Hong Kong. 3 days ago, all the face-masks were sold out. And last night, we all received an sms from Smartone Vodafone – "the government has upgrade the warning to Emergency". Today, we saw a big difference outside. You can tell the local are taking good precaution. Many people on the streets, in the trains are all wearing face-masks. (In HK, the people who wear face-mask belongs to 4 groups of people – Those who are protesting. Or those who are sick. Or those who want to protect themselves. Or those who are going to Court.) Even the taxis are operating with half-opened windows. The lifts in my estate are sanitised twice an hour!

Apr-Jun has always been a lousy period! SARS happened during this period. And last year this time, we had the big Myanmar hurricane and the Sichuan earthquake. Let’s hope this Pig Flu is a small crisis. For once, Mexican Wave is not welcome anywhere else. Imagine you have the bird flu, the sars and swine flu all active at the same time!
