A Not-so-Good Sat Night

We had a lousy and unlucky Sat evening – Every thing seems to be so so wrong. First, we travelled all the way (from east to west) to Western Market and found out that the restuarant that we wanted to dine was booked for a wedding dinner. We ended up eating Cha-Chan-Ting opposite the street. Then at 8:50pm, we rushed to the bay to catch the "East Asia Games Opening Ceremony Fireworks". Scott was confidently leading the way and we found out that we mixed up the timing! The fireworks supposed to go off at 8pm! What a shame! We laughed at Scott’s silly mistake for misleading us <again!>!

Next, Tracy suddenly made a panic annoucement to the group – SHE dropped her iphone! Just when we decided to go back to trace her iPhone at the HK Cafe, the first firework exploded in the sky! The fireworks were back!??? (Scott was right???) Puzzled and confused, the team dashed for the bay to catch the fireworks. Tracy and I decided to give the fireworks a miss and we headed back to the HK Cafe. The verdict – her iPhone is gone forever…

The group decided to chill out at the roof garden at IFC. Great place but lousy period for everyone – except the Ho Family. Scott was moody and confused about his new girl. Harshad was still suffering from his hangover. Elkan was upset that he couldn’t play PS3 with his favourite Indian buddy. I was feeling so tired and disappointed for missing that firework show. And Tracy was so sad about her missing iPhone.

Well, at least we managed to pose some good happy shots for my blog.

A Surprise Visitor – Hovman

As promised – Hovman paid for my Singaporean Yummies and I shall grant him an entry on his favourite blog! December is a splendid month to visit Hong Kong / China. The weather is fantastic – cooling, cozy with that magic touch of romance. It is great to dine with your fellow Singaporean buddies overseas – especially over a meal of our favourite Singaporean dishes in such cold season!

Hairy Ads

(Photo Taken: Bus Ads @ Central, HK – An intended prank or a bold advertising gimmick? It seems that some one defaced the photo with a moustache. See the original photo above. We thought this prank somehow is more provocative than the original ads. It did caught our attention!)

Lofty Lunch

(Photo Taken: Western Market – Lunch with Cousin Mike. It is a beautiful space – high ceiling, great dining atmosphere. Very tasty dim sum at very reasonable price!)

Happy Kitty!

This is our 2nd birthday celebration for our sweet and lovely Kitty! Lucky girl, she got her "perfect gift" (cos’ she told us what to get – saving our time and brain cells!) And we got a tasty chocolate cake + the biggest birthday card ever! Later that night, we went "REDBOX Karaoke" and sang our hearts for her till midnight! A funny discovery about our shy goody young boy, Ernest. He was 100% right when he said he cannot sing – cos’ this rock star RAPS! Trust me, he raps and he is not that typical quiet fellow at work! Mm…well, he didn’t do well for that "Endless Love" duet with our birthday girl! Haaaa….

Kitty is indeed popular – For the 1st time, we have inter-departmental friends joining us! It was great to have both Arthur and Audrey (both of them can sing so well!) with us that night! Especially the silly "bottom’s up, hand’s up dice game!" – It is not suitable for "old folks" like me. For a while, I felt so so young…! GREAT NIGHT (AND we still have 1 more bottle of Chivas untouched for Harshad & gang!)

Thanks Tracy – for editing and putting the "BEST FOOTAGE" here! Yes! We all have talent!

Ghostly Rehersal

(Photo Taken: On Star Ferry crossing to Central Pier – Decorated "Floats" doing their rehersal for the "5th Dec East Asian Games" Opening Night)

Since 1993, Nov 24th.

I can’t believe this! I always frown on those typical TVB/TCS scripts about lovers forgetting each other’s birthday or anniversary. I have been very very good with dates – after all, I am the only one who remembered and greeted Yixi on his birthday this year! (Haaa… I am rubbing more salt to his wounds).

Guess what? IT IS MY ANNIVERSARY TODAY AND I TOTALLY HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT IT! (Last year, I took a day off and brought them to Disneyland: See last year entry) Shoot me! Hang me and punish me with lots of love bites!

No excuse this year, however, I was indeed very very busy clearing those dreadful weekly deadlines. Last week, I even reminded myself about my own Anniversary on the 24th – as it will be our 16th Anniversary. Believe it or not, I even shared my 16-year love tale to my new colleagues this afternoon!

CAN U IMAGINE I GAVE FELICIA "A WERID LOOK" WHEN SHE SERVED ME A HEART-SHAPE CAKE BY THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT? The 1st thing that came to my mind was "Dim Ah? I thought Felicia doesn’t like me to snack after midnight and she is serving me CAKE??? Must be another sampling!"

She then whispered these words (sweetly) into my ears "Happy Bobojojo Day!" – OH MY GOD! I looked at the date on my computer – SHOOT! IT IS 24th NOV! I am so so so clueless – I totally lost all concept of time/dates! Honestly, I thought today is 20th! (What happened to my 21st, 22nd and 23rd!??) Shame on you – JOE – the first and last thing you think about is ~ FOOD, FOOD & MORE FOOD ~ at midnight???!!! What should I do now??? Mmm…maybe I should show my appreciation by finishing her cake tonight.

Christmas Mood is Here

I am extremely busy + tired but really really happy! I am looking forward to my home trip in Dec and our annual Christmas holidays to JAPAN! (and that will be Felicia, Elkan, Tracy and Harshad’s virgin trip!) Right now, I am humming Christmas jingles while writing this blog – YES, the goody old festive spirit is back! And Christmas Mood is certainly stronger here in Hong Kong (the early winter plus so many beautiful Christmas Decoration)! Must be the cool nice weather…and of course, a perfect excuse for me to buy another toy for myself this Christmas! I must not be greedy – I would certainly be happy if Wahbiang clan is here…anyone?
