Singapore Flood II

(Video by Mr Brown: In less than 4 weeks, Singapore suffered another big flood this morning (stretching from Orchard to Katong). What’s going on back home? These flood reports are making us look really really bad. This shouldn’t happen again – especially at our prestigious Orchard Road. Some one should really check the drains. Meanwhile, check out some tips offered in this funny video clip.)

She Changes Everything. Again.

Ever since Steve introduced me my 24th Girlfriend back in 2007, I have never ever set my eyes on another one. She holds the longest record for being my most doted companion (from 2G to 3G and then to 3GS). Black or white, my love for "24" is deep and everlasting – not until last night when Steve came back to me and introduced me a new girl. Mmm..she is indeed kinda familiar. (Well, at least Steve tried his best to convince me that what I saw a few months back wasn’t the full version.) Steve certainly did a better introduction than the Gizmo guy. Steve stripped her down and revealed 8 of her most distinctive features. My new dream girl is absolutely gorgeous, sharp, sexy and out of this world. She is not only the thinnest girl on this planet, she is going to change everything. Again.

Cool iPhone Game

(Screen Shot – FaceFighter was rated 4.5/5! I am not a fan of phone games. Yesterday, Randy recommended me this damn cool iPhone game that you can customise your opponent and spar with them. This is Elkan fighting Elkan. With lots of comical special effects and sounds, it is really fun to see their distorted expressions. Not a bad app for you to distress at work. Having problem with your ridiculous boss or bitchy colleague, just snap their photos here and kick their ass. Caution: You still need skills to knock them out.)

Full House

For those who didn’t know. Venetian @ Macau is one of the world’s largest resort-hotels. And now, Venetian is attempting to set a new Guinness World Record by creating a replica of its premises using decks of cards. Venetian has invited card-stacker expert, Bryan Berg to break his own Guinness World Record. He will be attempting to build a replica of The Venetian Macao, The Plaza Macao, and Sands Macao buildings will use more than 190,000 cards! This feat will take Bryan 44 days to complete. (YESTERDAY – What we saw here was Bryan’s Day-19 works)

Burj Dubai – The World’s Tallest Building

Officially opened on 4th Jan 2010 – The Burj Dubai is now the tallest skyscraper, surpassing Taipei 101 (509.2m) 40% taller at 828m! Not only it is now the world’s building, it also holds the following world record – Highest Mosque on 158th floor, Most Floors (160 in total), Longest & Fastest Elevator Travel Distance and 10 others records. At 828m, the new Burj Dubai is 276m taller than the Victoria Peak of Hong Kong. It won’t be long before we build a building into space.

Since we can’t beat the world in height (also fear of Osama crashing planes into skyscrapers), perhaps Singapore should build the world’s deepest building. And then we can have our own world records – like the world deepest Kopitiam Shop, the lowest and fastest free fall elevator drop, the deepest hotel/zoo/barbershop/temple/ERP of the world. If not.. we should attemp the world’s longest building (linking all 42 lorongs of shophouses in Geylang!) Let’s think big, long and deep.

Enjoy the spectacular opening ceremony!

City Gems

I am rather disappointed with the look of our new casino. It is time for Singapore to dress up and relook their 80s-looking city skyline. Let’s build world landmarks and add more gems in our cityscape. One durain, Merlion or Ion isn’t good enough to put our country on FACEBOOK, YOU-TUBE and TWITTER. These are the magnets that attract tons of onlookers. What’s the point of building the world’s best airport when there is nothing original and refreshing to see? We need not to be big in size to be a city giant. All we need is to create an exciting mammoth impression.
